Chris Hunter founded Willomina with a love of hair, people and creating spaces that feel as good as they look.
His career has taken him from rural Victoria to Melbourne and, eventually Sydney, working across salon, session and editorial environments along the way. His approach to hair is grounded in technical expertise, but always with an understanding that great hair is personal. It should work for the person wearing it, not simply look good in the salon chair.

Over the years, Chris has built Willomina around that philosophy - bringing together a team of talented stylists and creating spaces that feel considered without feeling formal, elevated without feeling intimidating.

For Chris, the salon has always been about more than hair. It is about the people who walk through the door, the team behind it and the community that surrounds it.

Our stylists bring years of technical knowledge, creativity and a genuine love of their craft. Around them is a team working across education, management, client experience and everything that happens behind the scenes to make the salon feel effortless.
We are proud of the individuality within our team. There is no single Willomina look or way of doing things. Instead, we share an approach: thoughtful service, exceptional hair and a belief that the best results come from understanding the person sitting in the chair.
